Building and Running a Model of FORTRAN Science Components in OMS
OMS provides modelers considerable flexibility in approach to building a model, depending primarily on how much model control is managed by OMS system components. This section covers the approach used to build the CSMLite model.
OMS modelers use a domain specific language (DSL), a relatively small custom set of elements to create and build the model, provision the model with data and set parameters, calibrate and run the model, manage and visualize model output, and perform sensitivity and uncertainty analysis on the model.
Modelers create an instance of the model through an OMS simulation file. The following sub-sections go through this process.
