Uploading a GIS Layer

Click the icon to upload GIS layer data from your computer. When uploading shapefiles, be sure to select all files with the same base name, such as foo.shp, foo.dbx, etc. In addition, metadata information is stored in files exnding with '.meta', and layer documentation is stored using markdown files ending with '.md'. Currently shapefiles and geojson file formats are supported.

For example, if you have a file called 'on_farm_market_directory.json' that you want to upload, select it using the file selection box. You will then see that layer at the top of the list of layers:

Rename the layer by clicking on the pencil icon

Uncheck any checked layers to clear them from the map display so that you are only looking at the new layer. By default new layers are displayed as points.
